I Think You’re Wrong (But I’m Listening): A Guide to Grace-Filled Political Conversations
By Sarah Stewart Holland and Beth Silvers As we approach the 2024 Presidential election, we all know how disagreements with others can feel overwhelming and divisive. As people of faith, how do we navigate difficult conversations while maintaining compassion, grace, and curiosity? Join Pastor Dale and Pastor Carrie for a five-week small group study based on the book “I Think You’re Wrong (But I’m Listening): A Guide to Grace-Filled Political Conversations” by Sarah Stewart Holland and Beth Silvers, as we explore how to bridge political divides with respect and love. We will meet on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. in the church library starting September 29. Together, we’ll examine how our faith calls us to prioritize people over politics, listen more deeply, and become people of reconciliation in our communities. Each week will include scripture, discussion, prayer, and practical take-home activities to help us live out these principles in everyday life. All are welcome, and no previous experience with the book is required. Come with an open heart and a willingness to learn as we explore how to disagree with grace while staying grounded in our Christian values.
