ENGAGE: Lutherans!
Schedule Sunday, September 14 – Freedom and Service In Christ we are set free—not for ourselves, but to love and serve our neighbors with joy. Thursday, October 10 – Word and Sacrament God meets us in the living Word and in the sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion, giving us faith and life. Sunday, November 9 – Faith and Doubt Faith is not the absence of doubt, but trusting God’s promises even when questions remain. Saturday, January 11 – Saints and Sinners As Lutherans we confess we are both saints and sinners—redeemed by Christ, yet still in need of daily forgiveness. Saturday, February 15 – Cross and Resurrection At the cross we see God’s love revealed in weakness, and in the resurrection we trust God’s promise of new life. Sunday, April 12 – Law and Gospel God’s Word both convicts us in our sin (Law) and frees us with the promise of grace (Gospel). |
ENGAGE: Lutherans!
Why We Believe What We Believe After a successful first year of ENGAGE: Worship, where we asked “Why do we worship the way we do?”, we are excited to continue the journey with a second year of ENGAGE! This year’s focus is ENGAGE: Lutherans! Together, we’ll explore six core Lutheran themes that shape not only what we believe, but also how we live out our faith in daily life. As ELCA Lutherans, we often talk about “both/and” truths—paradoxes that hold us in the tension of God’s mystery, grace, and calling. Each month we’ll gather to dig deeper, reflect, and grow in what it means to be Lutheran Christians today. Come ready to learn, to question, and to engage! Faith formation doesn’t end with worship. It extends into conversation, discovery, and growth for all ages. Following each of our ENGAGE: Lutheran! services, everyone is invited to stay for 30–45 minutes of age-based learning:
