2025 Mortgage Payoff Appeal: Our Case For Support
Our church is blessed with a clear mission statement: “Sharing Christ’s Love with Joy!”
As we, as a congregation, look forward, we see a tremendous opportunity to deepen our mission by paying off our mortgage early.
In December, 2024, our mortgage balance was $130,000, with $5,328 allocated monthly from our budget. While we have been making steady progress with $64,000 in annual mortgage payments, we proposed a special appeal beginning in January 2025 to raise an additional $100,000 to fully pay off the remaining balance by year-end.
Achieving this goal would free us from the significant financial commitment of our mortgage payments, releasing $64,000 annually that can be redirected to strengthen and expand our ministries. This financial freedom would empower our church to focus on other matters—our facilities, our community, our ministry, and our mission.

Paying off our mortgage early is a powerful step toward “Sharing Christ’s Love with Joy!” more effectively and sustainably. Our congregation has proven numerous times that we can reach significant financial milestones together. - Provide Well Deserved Pay Increases to our staff who tirelessly lead, support, and inspire our congregation, helping us to attract and retain gifted individuals dedicated to our vision of being a welcoming, caring, and healthy community of faith.
- Rebuild Our Savings Rebuilding and strengthening our financial reserves not only will ensure stability for our current ministries but also will prepare us to respond with confidence and flexibility to future opportunities and needs. By rebuilding our savings, we can continue to support our mission and growth for years to come.
- Invest In Our Facilities and Facility Staff We are committed to ensuring our church remains a safe, beautiful, and welcoming space for worship, fellowship, and outreach. To support this, we will hire a part-time custodian to oversee building and grounds maintenance, ensuring that every visitor and member feels at home in our space. This investment in both our facilities and facility staff reflects our dedication to sustaining and enhancing our church home for all who gather here.
- Outreach Beyond Our Walls As part of our commitment to sharing Christ’s love, we will expand our outreach and evangelism even further beyond our walls. This includes supporting additional local organizations, addressing urgent community needs as they arise, strengthening our partnerships in Tanzania, and increasing our support of the St. Paul Area Synod.
